As the greenest city in England you are never far from one of 200 parks, woodlands or gardens many of which form part of Sheffield's walking trails.

Here, Millhouses Park offers a boating lake, tennis courts, crown green bowling, adventure playground, green fields and a delightful café - typical of the cities parks.

Ecclesall Woods, one of the largest single areas of ancient woodland in an urban environment, and Endcliffe Park form part of the Sheffield Round Walk. Graves Park and Animal Farm and the Shepherd Wheel in Whitely Woods are other points of interest.

Sheffield's parks are proving to be the ideal venue for major events. The City has an excellent program including Funfairs, Big Top Circus, Highland Fling, Sheffield Mayfest, Sheffield Festival of Transport, Sheffield Fayre, After Dark and many others.
