I enjoyed this event so much. The bouldering competition in particular was Amazing!!!

Adam Carey - Sheffield City Kayak Club

As a club it was fantastic to give something back to the community in and around Sheffield, on a personal level all our coaches and staff said that they felt a great sense of achievement, and more importantly the public were eager and happy to try something that maybe they hadn't tried before, infact our membership has increased by 20% as a direct result of the Cliffhanger event with people wanting to take kayaking further, so all around a great result, a great event and a great team. Thanks to everyone who was involved.

Ali - 2010 Exhibitor

My boys had an absolute blast at Cliffhanger. They filled both days with exciting new adventures and LOVED it, so thank you for organising such a brilliant event. A lot of my friends came too and were all talking about it and were very impressed!

Angela Smith MP

Cliffhanger gives people of all ages great opportunities for tasting sports that they wouldn’t necessarily think about getting involved in.  It’s a fantastic event and it’s absolutely right that it should be held in Sheffield, a city with a great sporting tradition and a solid reputation as a world-class centre for climbing.

Dan Saunders

Great event by the way - great atmosphere and loads to do. The free physio session alone more than covered the entrance fee!

Graeme Alderson - IFSC Technical Delegate for Bouldering World Cups 2010 and The Climbing Works Owner

As the organiser of every single international bouldering competition held in the UK (5 World Cups, 1 European Championships and 9 other internationals) I can say, hand on heart, that this was the best one yet. The wall, the space, the crowd, the volunteers and the technology (thanks Tim) made it something special. To me the competition at Cliffhanger 2010 ranks extremely highly on the IFSC Bouldering World Cup circuit

Jon Barton - Vertebrate Publishing

Just to say what a great event Cliffhanger was, the activities and climbing competition were well run, fun and interesting. Our stall had a real buzz about it.. .thanks also for organizing the sunshine

All the best,

A huge thank you to all involved in the bike activities @ cliff-hanger this weekend.

The weekend appears to of been success. Both the Timber Trail and Rollapaluza were really well received by all involved and there was some great feedback on the day.

I already have 3 booking for the MTB summer sessions program on my answer phone this morning so we all must be doing something right!

Keith - Friends Of Millhouses Park

This was a super "do! " I thoroughly enjoyed it and was astonished at the extent and variety of activities, stalls and facilities. Superbly managed.

Please accept my thanks and pass them on to all the members oif the "engine room" behind the scenes.

Couldn't be bettered!

Keith

PS: As for the freestyle climbers........Awesome!

Narendra Bajaria CBE, Chair of the Peak District National Park Authority

The Cliff-hanger event for the people of Sheffield is an excellent opportunity to showcase recreation activities within the Peak District National Park and the Authority is delighted to promote such activities on the City's doorstep. We wholeheartedly support the City Council's commitment to promoting such activities for all to enjoy

Peter Howarth - Arnold Lavers

Sales Director Peter Howarth commented ‘We are proud to be associated with this event following the success of last year, which saw the festival improve once again in terms of both size and stature. As a local Company, supporting initiatives such as this are very important to us. We were pleased to be asked again to help, by the event organisers. Its also encouraging to see our materials being used in such an unusual manner, it's not often that we see people clambering over our products in the name of sport'.

Steve Betts - South Yorkshire Safety Camera Partnership

Being placed directly next to the British Army zip wire was an excellent location as it meant we could focus our speed camera onto the person travelling down the line, this really helped us to show the public exactly how the cameras work and also provided a unique attraction for your event. Our staff that attended spoke to between 700 and 800 families/groups of people over the weekend with many leaving with a positive opinion of the cameras and our partnership, a great result for us.

Steve Marsden - Cycling Champions Project

Hi All,

I am sorry that i couldn't be with you this weekend as i was out of the country, but my family came with friends and said that they spent the whole day at the event and had a fantastic time and the kids wanted to go back the next day as they hadn't seen it all!

So on a personal level thanks for making it a special day not for just my family but for the people of sheffield and wider.

Visirot upon news of winning a rucksack from POD Sacs in a UKClimbing Competition

That's fantastic news! What great news for the weekend!

Cliffhanger was superb.... Skyler breaking his record again was fab although injuring himself less so.... I managed 212.5cm... I was grabbing the 230cm mark, but not holding it... next time!!

The bouldering comp was amazing - such high quality competitors and stunning to see them in action... very inspiring stuff! Will have to see how I can do on Dartmoor this weekend..

Nikki - thanks to you and POD sacs in advance for supply a great prize, looks like a brillant crag bag.

Wayne Biney - Naked Ape (Exhibitor)

Each year Cliffhanger goes from strength to strength and is an event that Sheffield should be rightly proud of. Cliffhanger 2010 was phenomenal and the climbing competitions awesome. Well done to the organizers and to everyone else involved.
