Orienteering Ultra Sprint - £600 worth of prize money - Free
The Cliffhanger Ultra Sprint will be back by popular demand. South Yorkshire Orienteers won an award for the Most Innovative Club in the UK on the back of last year's inaugral UltraSprnt. Garmin will be supporting the event.
The Ultrasprint is a high intensity orienteering race. Competitors will run around a variety of terrain including forest, parkland and a specially constructed labyrinth. The fastest runners will have to be able to combine speed and agility with lightning-fast navigation skills . The race will be decided over a qualification round and a final between 11am and 1pm on Saturday 12, with prize money of £600 up for grabs, July before the event is opened up for the public to have a go. Come along and watch how it's done, then see how you would fare against some of the best orienteers in the UK.
