A Guinness World Record Dyno Competition - £1,000 prize money!
In April 2002 the first officially recognised Guinness World Dyno Records (kind of like high jump for rock climbers) were set at The Edge Climbing Centre in Sheffield. Since then similar competitions have been held in New Zealand, Birmingham, Manchester the USA and elsewhere, all indoors.
At Cliffhanger this record will be challenged once again, back in the city in which it was first set, this time outdoors.
A friendly open competition will take place over both days of the event, with a world record attempt and £1,000 of prize money up for grabs on the Saturday or Sunday afternoon, depending on the weather.
